Ship Problem

Hi, just joined, and I have a bit of a problem with ship desgining.

I can design the ship as normal, but as soon as I confirm it, almost all of it vanishes. It seems to retain the functionality of any lost parts though.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

What version of the game are you playing, and are you placing very large numbers of pieces on your ships?

If you're still running 1.0, you should definitely update to 1.4x (found on the downloads page of this site) at least, or 1.5 (only available on Stardock Central).
