Addiction to Internet Games Causes Child Abuse

What were these parents thinking?!

Here's another incident that makes you wonder what the dick is wrong with people these days. A couple let their children starve because of their addiction to computer games, particularly Dungeon and Dragons. It's not that they didn't have food at their home, they just didn't bother to take the time to feed their children. The children were not only malnourished, their muscular development was nil because they didn't do anything physical with them. These are babies, 22months old and 11 months old!

The husband inherited some money, $50,000 and instead of putting it to good use, say even a college fund for his children future, they bought a plasma TV and computer equipment! Some people don't deserve the good luck that happens to them.

Now the children are in foster care getting the attention they need and the parents are going to court. What a waste!

Argh. Maybe I let my kid be a little hungry for a couple minutes while I finish up a game, or find a good place to pause, but I certainly feed him at that point. It's not okay to not feed your kids, regardless of what you may be doing, whether it's drinking or gaming. They're more important than anything else.

I guess with 6 billion souls, there are enough to go around to fill bodies with the minds of idiots.

I think the most just consequence is to ban them from the internet, and delete their characters.

Then, put them in prison for the 12 years, too.

Of course, I'd hate to have parents taken away from children like that. I hope they find a good home for those little ones.

I'm sorry but blaming this abuse on "game addiction" is total BS!!  They abused their kids because they are brainless losers...period.  Why is it that it is always knuckle draggers like this that can crank out a kid every 11months but perfectly wonderful people can't have babies of their own?!

I'm sure there are plenty of horrible people out there who can't have kids. Also, there are wonderful people out there who can have kids... well, maybe now one of those ones that couldn't have kids will be able to adopt? I hope so...

You know what's the best part of this story? Chances are the guy already blew the whole 50 thousand and don't have a penny to his name for a decent lawyer.

! Thank heavens you do. I've told my daughter to wait a moment while I finish typing something. But I have the concience to get up and go fetch for her, that or she bothers the heck out of me and make me feel guilty!lol!

I think idiots too nice a word for them!

I agree with you! Why is it that video games get blamed for every stupid thing people do? I should have mentioned that in my article too.

That would be torture for them I'm sure. Can you imagine the withdrawals they are going through now?!

I was flicking channels last night and caught a bit of Nancy Grace where they were blaming Dungeons & Dragons....WTF!  These are adults with babies!  There is something far more basically wrong with this couple than a penchant for D&D.  Reminds me of when "Heavy Metal Music" was getting blamed for everything bad that happened in the 80s.  Stop making excuses!  People do crazy, stupid stuff because they are crazy and stupid.

It would to me. Just look at me, I use my job PC to keep up to date with the world around me because I have no Internet at this moment at home.

People will use anything to excuse their one ignorance and stupidity. Some people blame cellphones for car accidents, some blame music for children's bad behavior, some even blame Fast food for them being fat. God forbid people would actually take responsibility for their own actions. Let's blame AT&T for forcing me to make a call or send a text while I drive, let's blame Ludacris for making me wanna do it on top of my Escalade while underage, let's blame McDonald's for forcing me to swipe my ATM card and for forcing a burger down my throat.

Yea, I know..the people who do stuff like this are reallly up their in the book of idiots! And blaming the product and not the people who use them is totally wrong!
