Designing custom ships

Hey guys,

After you finish choosing your race, and go to the race customization page, there is a tab called "Appearance". The tab has a button under it called "Create Custom Ship Style". But this button is blacked out. So how do I create my custom ship styles and my custom ships?

under the tab appearance it will show 5 different ship styles named after 5 of the 9 races (not including custom race) now once you start a game at the bottom center there should be 5 to 7 tabs not sure how many but click on the right most of the tabs which has a ship on it. that will take you to the shipyard click new and you can start desining you own ship but you need to research more technologies before you can put any good weapons or other things on your ships but the original ship style you pick will determine the certain looks of your ships


and i think "create custom ship style" is a moding option not sure

you make custom ships well in game the fast way is to play the god scenario.

this button is custom opponents. when you have made some custom ships you can assign those to the custom opponents via the create custom ship style button. which will light up when you make or upgrade your custom opponents
