Hi All,
After some good suggestions, a few permissions, a little bit of time the Skinning World RSS Reader Screen Saver will be done soon.
The first suggestion considered was one by SK Originals:
How about for Skin enthusiest... maybe one that just switchs from site logo/name to the next... might be kinda cool and something I have never seen (first thing to come to mind).

The reader will feature four of my favorite sites.
Skinning.net, WinCustomize.com, SkinBase.org, and Skinartistry.com, with the RSS feeds from each site.
If you want to experience how easy it will be to use check out the >WinCustomize RSS Reader.
You will be able to change, add, or delete RSS feeds to get the news you want.
Below are some images of the reader. The logos switch with each other using various transitions.
If there is another site you would like to see added to the reader, let me know.
By the way all suggestions and comments are welcome.

Hi Bichur,
Not yet. Right now, It is just a screen saver. You can start it anytime by adding a shortcut on the desktop.
I am working on one that the user will have those options, plus a skinnable feed display (it will match the users current visual style), and the user will be able to add their own images with different transition options.
With this version, I wanted to keep it simple and bring some attention to the skinning community.

I was just thinking...(maybe too much...)

other rss feeds are hyper links also...

got your screen saver on, see something, click it, screen saver goes away....gotta bring it back up to see it, see something, click it....gotta bring it back up...

as a background - i'm thinking.... firefox on rollup, looking at feeder, right click = new tab, keep looking, some more right clicks, then unroll and peruse...

okay... I'll just watch the screen saver....

That is an annoying issue with screen savers. This why I posted this (for insight). I don't know why I didn't think of that. A flash based screensaver would allow the user to interact with it...ie: when a news item is pressed a seperate window would popup with the article without exiting the screen saver. The downside of that is, it could be a cpu hog.

Something to think about...again
