Running in the rain
and other stuff

I went running by myself tonight. It had been raining on and off all day, but the sky looked fairly clear when I left my apartment, and I really wanted to get outside. So, I went, sans umbrella or parka. It didn't start raining until my last run back. At first, I thought I would be annoyed, but then I realized how much I liked running in the rain. I felt like a little kid again. Suddenly, it wasn't exercise-- it was fun. The rain hit hard, and I ran hard against it. I felt free. I felt connected. I felt like I could keep on running... until the pain in my side about made me collapse.
I love my new job. I'm not a big fan of getting up early in the mornings, but I can get used to that. I really like the women I work with, and the professors have all been very nice to me. (The really hot graduate student I met doesn't hurt either) I stay pretty busy, but it's a good busy. I don't feel hectic or rushed, but I stay busy enough that the day passes quickly. We laugh most of the day too. I was still smiling and singing as I left. And, bonus! I get to listen to my Irish music while I'm there! Definitely makes data entry go faster.
I told Bobo to back off a bit, and we're going to start over -- slowly. We're emailing again instead of talking on the phone. He's trying, and I'm giving him a chance. We'll just have to see.
Sorry I haven't been posting or responding much lately. After staring at a computer most of the day, I haven't felt like coming home and getting back on my computer. I hope you're all doing well.
