Hey up Fuzzy, ow's thee garden for ducks this mornin' ?

When it rains, it pours.....

Hey up Fuzzy, just checking out how you fared yesterday. I know it's no fun at all watching the water level rising and second guessing your next move. Been there, done that....

Lad, it took me 2 hrs to get 3 miles last night - not fun

This morning I'm setting off early. The A57 is still flooded - the river Don is overflowing throughout the centre of Sheffield

For the record, the normal rainfall for here in June is 55mm. Yesterday we had 109mm. Add that to the other rain and we've had over 300mm (12") in the last week.

Just a bit soggy now...

Bad day for a lot of folk. Still, good to hear that it sounds as if your home is okay. Just gotta cross fingers for Ulley Dam now.

Keep your socks dry

Just the time for a Tennis Open....with no roof....

Thanks to the weather the Aussies did well at the MotoGP.....1st and 3rd .....and Ant West would have been up there too had he not thrown it down the road...still, pretty darn good for his very first 800 ride....

I'm sick of the damn rain now...... I had to go out about 5 times yesterday, and I got soaked each time. And that was just running to the car!! It's 8am Tuesday now, and, fingers crossed, it's looking quite clear. Lets hope it stays that way for a while.

Could use a bit o' that wet stuff here in drought striken S.E Qld down in Oz....we'd have had less than 300mm in the last 7 - 8 years.

Hi Starkers

Yeh sounds rough. I remember reading about the football club out there, that actually had it's water stolen from the ground - hope you guys get a break soon.

This morning I'm setting off early.

Well, that was pointless. I set off an hour early and arrived 15mins late...

Just gotta cross fingers for Ulley Dam now

Yep. Everyone is piling up the Parkway towards the motorway only to find it closed due to a potential dam burst. It would be nice if the 'road closed' sign was at the bottom of the Parkway not at the top...

Spent 1 1/2 hrs on the Parkway this morning

Guess we're not the only ones with a flooding problem.  Had 70ft double wide mobile homes being washed down the road.  And more.  But was in a drought for a few years.
