Actually, didn't see that post, glad I missed it. I wouldn't want to have worried about you. You're by far the coolest knitting, non-smoking trucker ever.

I've never been to that big of a truck stop before. The biggest ones I go to are usually the rest areas on 90 from New York over to Indiana. It's worth it to pay the tolls when you have a baby in the back seat, and need to know there will be a place to stop. Though before the baby we used to take 80 through Pennsylvania, which has a couple big ones if I recall correclty.

Truck stops come in all sizes from the tiny little fuel stops with little to no parking to huge places like this one. This one is a two story building with all sorts of shopping, regular restaurant, and a few fast food places in it. It's like a trucker's mall.

Beer doesn't depress me, but gives me an awful headache for some reason. Even when I just drink two over a couple hours.

I have a friend who quit smoking some years ago. She couldn't drink for about a year because she associated having a drink and smoking together. She said it was too hard, but she did eventually start drinking again and she is still a non smoker.

I know you can do it Mason. You seem like a man who has a formidable will when desiring something.

Thanks Tova. Alcohol is a strong trigger for smoking, but it can also be a powerful trigger for depression. That's a double whammy for me at the moment so it's best to lay off for a while. It's not like I need to drink or that I drink to excess, but I do enjoy a cold one now and again. But it's best for my health right now.

So where are you planning to go to have your knitting fawned over by all the beautiful ladies now?

Sometimes it's good to get things off your chest and I understand why you write it. It's good to also realise when it's time to take a break from something.

Still hoping for the best on the non-smokin' part.  On the alcohol part I can understand your thoughts about it serving as a trigger, and working against you as a depressant.  Hopefully later you'll be able to enjoy a drink now and then without feeling the need to light up.  If not, then you'll be saving money from beer and cigs and perhaps you can put it all to more fun toys that will keep you perked up

I prefer the amber, but it is hard to find.

Good luck on your tee totalling.  I have switched to ODouls, cause I dont want the alcohol, but like the taste. (Actually, my GUT does not want the alcohol!).
