convert dream to wmv

hello,

im a german user and have q question. can i convert the dream files to wmv files?
In my windows vista ultimate have errors, but only with dream files. wmv files from windows, no problem

Do you have Stardock Deskscapes installed? Deskscapes is required to run the .dream files.

yes, stardock deskscapes installed. but i always get an error message. windows explorer then one terminates automatically. I start windows explorer over the task manager. is there a solution for this problem?

I had a problem where the .Dream files just weren't showing up when I did Personalize-->Desktop Background, so I just double-clicked the file from the location I downloaded it to and it worked. But I also realized that DeskScapes makes a .wmv backup of the .Dream file, so if you search your DeskScapes folder for .wmv files, you might find it (after double-clicking the .Dream file).

It's a really very bugged thing.
I prefer to use original DreamScene. So I want to convert that unuseful .dream into .wmv that works

I'm having a very similar problem, every time i browse to the folder that contains the .dream files my computer locks up, and i have to do a hard reset. Still looking for a way to convert .dreams back to WVM or MPEG

thankyou for \ProgramData\Stardock\DeskScapes\ExtractedData

found them .....    

if anyone else having problems.. and wants to convert them dreams to wvm.. navigate to the \ProgramData\Stardock\DeskScapes\ExtractedData    and here there already converted for you.  ...just copy and paste to a new folder..

I loveyou, thx you saved the dreams that didn't work cause an mpeg2 compatibilty error. I convert the "hidden file" into avi standard, convert again into dream file and it worked!!!
