Workarea. Some help needed!

Since i have set up my pc with the right style i have allways wanted to hide the titlebar of a window under the taskbar (which is at the top). I allways thought it would look much better and i can acess all its features by right clicking the task on the taskbar. So i saw the workarea feature on a DesktopX site, and decided to check it out and see if this program would do the trick. Unfortunatly i cant resize the work area to go under the taskbar. Im running windows XP SP2 & Desktop builder X 3.1 and looking for a solution to my problem using this program or another, or none at all.

Thanks for reading and if you have any ideas please respond. Cheers

the only way I can get it under the taskbar is to use the resize to get it off max, and then drag it up there under the bar. then drag the bottom edge down

If you set the Taskbar/Start bar to always on top it will automatically reduce the work area of the desktop. I have not seev any sort of hack to stop that except for removing the check on always on top, which op course doesn't do what you want either.

Some applications store their previous location in the registryy when they are closed. For one that does so, you could possibly go in and edit this data to have it launch under the Taskbar but an application wirtten to the MS spec is supposed to check for desktop are on launch and automatically adjust accordingly.

Lots of applications do not do this correctly so it is hit or miss on a per applicaiton basis.
