Wartermark VS Art

This thread is not to show you how to remove watermark, but to talk about the advantage and disadvantage of using it.

Normally watermarks are often used on arts that are meant as a portfolio or preview. When artists want to simply show their works or previews of prints they have for sell, they would often add watermarks on their arts to claim ownership of their pieces or simply to prevent you, the viewers, from satisfying with just the preview. If you like what you see and want a clean version, then you’ll have to buy it. Some artists would simply add watermarks on their works to simple prevent others from stealing their works. Watermark can sometimes be a turnoff. When using watermark, always consider the type of watermark is best for your art, because it can make or break your masterpiece. When people look at your work, you want to make sure that they always see your art first and not the watermark. Whenever it’s the other way around, your work might be overlooked. Always keep in mind that all kind of watermarks can be removed by other skillful artists if need be.
