My stomach is in knots

I interviewed for a pretty good job last week, and I'm supposed to hear back from it today. It's 10:30 and I haven't heard anything yet. I'm stressing out so much that it's making me feel yucky. I really, really, really need a job and so far, I'm having zero luck... which is strange because I have plenty of work experience, I'm a good person, smart, hard-working, yadda yadda yadda... but nothing has come up for me yet. I would really prefer to be asleep right now, but I kept having nightmares, so I decided to wake up and try to find something to do. That's not going to well, either.

Something has to work out for me soon, right? I can't have a completely shitty year, can I? I mean, very few things have worked out for me since last July, and I'm getting kinda tired of it. I really am a happy person... but the stress is bringing me down. Argh.

Well, looks like I'm going back to crossing fingers and toes.

Hey good luck with your job! I hope you get it, I know exactly how you feel and it sucks.

(next time, gimme a little notice so I can plan a blood sacrifice. small animals are getting scarce around here so i've taken to poaching from the golf course.)

Girlfriend, I hope you aren't serious.

Shovel -- me too. I may get nervous for the interviews, but waiting to hear back is killer!

LW -- Thanks for the good vibes. I'll make sure to tell you sooner so you can start rounding up the little furry creatures.

Amanda -- thanks. I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets this way while looking for a job. And, I hope she isn't kidding. I need all the help I can get, and some of the gods prefer sacrifices...

Doc -- Eyes! I knew there was something else I could cross. Of course, I look kinda funny with my toes, legs, arms, fingers and tongue crossed, so maybe I should leave my eyes alone...

Tova -- I do too. If I don't hear by tomorrow, then I'm giving up hope. Argh. I hate waiting.
