If you have DA, you could try opening the .customracexml file , finding , and changing 'Custom Star' to something you have set out in CutomPlanets.xml .

To link a custom race with a predefined star system (in DA), you need to make the system definition in CustomPlanets.xml. Then just set the <Homestar> value in the race's config xml to match the Name attribute in the <Starsystem> tag in CustomPlanets.

Your xml got mostly eaten by the forum it looks like, but you do seem to be lacking the DisplayName tags in the system definition. Try just copy and pasting the whole system definition from one of the default ones, and just changing the names to match your race's settings.

The numbers in the portrait names don't really matter, that's just what the default ones are named. Yours can be named whatever you like.
