Google has been in the news quite frequently lately with several stories about their new "Universal search", Google Trends, and their recent acquisitions.  Well today comes news that Google has acquired Feedburner.  In case you are not familiar with Feedburner it is an RSS management and advertising service.

Google is paying around $100 million to acquire Feedburner, which will mostly be cash and paid upfront.  The deal has been confirmed and should close in the next few weeks.

Google will just buy Microsoft and call the next OS GooHorn or something else as silly

Yeah it looks like in a decade or so GoogleBucks will be on every corner, we'll be riding GUTS (Google Urban Transit System) and plans will be underway to build a large structure of satellites in Earth's orbit that, from space, will look like a giant Google logo with Earth being the middle 'o'.

Don't want anyone to get the that idea I dislike Google with a passion, but I really, really hope this purchase (swallowing up) of Feedburner gives 'em serious heartburn
