How do I permanently delete custom designs?

As the title says. I can't find any folders or files containing custom ship designs on my HD. Pushing "Delete" under the Shipyard screen doesn't seem to work as the same design pops up when I start a new game.

Edit: NVM, I found my answer... just trying to figure out how to delete this noobish thread...
