Slippery Sandy Silently Slides Again

If he was a Republican this would never happen

Former President Bill Clinton's national security adviser, Sandy {stuff my socks} Berger apologized for taking highly classified documents from the National Archives and agreed to forfeit his license to practice law. Wow! Since he has not used it in 15 years anyways exactly how is this a punishment?

"I have decided to voluntarily relinquish my license," Berger said After cutting a deal that a Republican would never be offered.. "While I derived great satisfaction from years of practicing law, I have not done so for 15 years and do not envision returning to the profession. I am very sorry for what I did, and I deeply apologize." No he is not sorry for what he did, he is sorry he got CAUGHT!

Berger can avoid being cross-examined by the Board on Bar Counsel by agreeing to forfeit the license. Details about the formal agreement should be worked out on Thursday. Once again Slippery Sandy skates with little backlash. If this were a Republican Security advisor, the Democratically controlled congress would be screaming for Berger to testify under oath, committees would be formed, conclusions drawn before any facts came out, the MSM would be screaming for his to be imprisoned for life. But since Berger is a Democrat and a protege of Bill Clinton, nary a whisper from Congress or the MSM>

Berger served as Clinton's National security adviser from 1997 to 2001. Berger was fined $50,000, sentenced to 100 hours of community service and barred from access to classified material for three years. Three Years!!!!  Three years!!! that means he can go steal more documents that are damaging to the Democrats.

Where is the Justice in this? A man that knows better stole documents that were damaging to Bill Clinton right before Berger was due to testify before the 9/11 commission.

Who Knows what he might have hidden in other files to be stolen at his leisure after his THREE YEAR BAN!

a republican would have gotten the same treatment, especially from the media

now the lack of media coverage is another issue. it should have been better reported.

but as far as his actual sentencing goes...just another rich man gettin away with it. some go to rehab, some get a slap on the wrist, and others get let go and write books that are nothing more than thinly veiled confessions.

but it's not a republican v democrat thing to me...sorry. i know others can't get off that fixation, but it's more of a class thing than a party thing when you get down to the nuts and bolts. i know the right has been taking it on the chin lately as the war disintigrates and other scandals are afoot. but i think there are better prey for ya'll to pursue than this, which is just typical washington and a rich man's game.

the murtha story is legit. although i'm not gonna condemn him on the sole word of congressman rogers.

the fact that the democratic congress has passed a total of 26 bills so far. 12 of which are name changes for federal buildings. that's a meaty story! that's a story that if given enough exposure to the light of day..could get some change happening.

but this? nah...

Is there any person here that can seriously say a republican would have gotten the same treatment, especially from the media?

Amazing that with all the conspiracy loons out there they don't even touch this one.

if Sandy were Republican and had the misfortune of working for the Bush administration, the Liberal loons would already have a nice tall tree picked out to hang him from.. no evidence would be necessary.. just an accusation would suffice.

and another story might be how none of the measures passed by pelosi & co. in the 1st 100 hours have advanced any further. notthat any of that has reached a crisis or anything,,,it's only been a few months...but they do need to be held accountable and show us their "plan" for the future.

They have showed there plan for the future, admit defeat in Iraq and run away. Blame Bush and his administration for all the ills of the world, do their best to win the whitehouse in 2008, do nothing that would block their chances at winning same.

Listen, lil boy, I respond to and converse with scores of people here on a daily basis--sometimes repeatedly. My occasional remark towards (or to, or about) you hardly constitutes an 'obsession.' At least, not in anyone's mind but your own.

Your narcissism knows no bounds.

And, as most of the 'Sistahood' knows, a man's ego is inversely related to his penis size. Could I interest you in a microscope?

yes, it is so flattering...obsessed with me, my penis and just can't stop, can ya? it's not my ego...it's your constant efforts that tell the story of your obsessions.

now send me some more feigned hate to cover up for your weaknesses.

Of course we're 'ok' dear. I've been alternately sick and busy, and I did send you a couple of short emails that got bounced back. I got your whale pics, and they were lovely, will try to catch up later this week--I owe meg and dharma and a few other people mail too, so don't feel lonely.

[ self-pity ]

I'm just very short on energy at the moment, sleeping a lot and feeling like crappola, when I do feel decent, I've got tasks I'm behind on like housework and shopping and bill paying--by the time I'm done with them, and popped in here for a few quips, I'm pooped again.

Well poop, sabrina, sorry about you not being up to snuff, anything I can do?
