Anyone missing some rain? We seem to have plenty

The mid-Atlantic area is getting smacked around by a good bit of rain, though from the sound of things outside currently, perhaps it's quieting down now.

Unfortunately I didn't quite get my wishes as I was hoping for a rainout of the NASCAR race at Darlington tonite (got that), while still hoping that the Nationals game would play through to completion since I had tickets for tonites game.  The game made it into the 5th inning before the rains came down pretty hard.

At one point (once the rains were coming down) the crowd that had been patiently sitting in the seats up under the over-hanging roof was quickly sent running -- disaster movie style -- when the winds started making the rains swirl and blowd well up into the stands that had already seen about 2 or 3 "move up" style relocations.

Funny that the fans that had paid for the cheapest seats were the dryest the entire time. LOL

I guess I shouldn't complain.  Even though the grass in the yard is a little long and needs cutting, we've had a fairly dry early spring to the heavy downpour is probably a good thing for us.

As it turns out, after 2hrs15mins, the Nationals resumed their game against the Marlins.  Cheap @#$@$ owners.  Marlins are up 3-2 currently, in the 6th inning currently after resuming the game, with rain still drizzling occassionally.

I'm sitting home comfortably watching the end of the game on the TV, but I swear MLB and these teams should be ashamed of themselves for continuing the game (they didn't restart it until after 11pm local time which is pretty darned late to be picking up a tied game, in a nearly empty stadium).

Not that I wish it would really happen, but it's almost like those fools are trying their darnedest to get someone struck by lightning and get the bejeezus sued out of MLB, the stadium authority, the teams, etc.

Terp, it is not rain.  Just Camel spit!  Dont believe me?  Ask the expert!

Actually this spring has been close to perfect in our parts.  Enough rain to keep things growing, not too much to cause problems.

But then I dont know what I am talking about.  Just some doofuss that cant tell rain from shine!
