When am I going to be able to download media for the freakin 1.6 beta?

Still can not download multimedia for the 1.6 beta. I guess it doesn't like me. I have been able to download everything else for GC2 and DA. It is kind of pointless to play a game without sound effects and the other crap that the multimedia stuff is supposed to have. So... when is this problem going to be fixed. I know that the non-beta version is downloadable but I downloaded the beta crap for everything else. So am I supposed to delete everything and download it all over again without the beta crap?

That stuff has never downloaded for me but its been around since before the beta. It doesnt seem to have messed anything up.

Yeah, just download the last multimedia version. Doesn't look like anything has actually changed, unless there's a Drengin Opera or something I'm missing out on

I had the same problem for a day or so and was able to fix it myself today.

When you are in the Stardock Central program at the screen where you download the game, look at the bottom of the window for the Show pre-release versions checkbox. If this is checked, then the installer will try to download "Version: 1.0[rc].046" of the multimedia files. This results in the "invalid URL" error.

If you uncheck that option, your screen will refresh and the version of the multimedia files available for installation will change to "Version: 1.0[rc].045." Note the difference in the final number--46 versus 45. Installing this set works. I am now gaming and have all sounds, video, etc.

The Show pre-release versions option will show you an update that does not exist on their server at present.

Actually, problem might be fixed. Just managed to update the multimedia component. If it still doesn't work, try downloading the standard release multimedia then updating it. Worked for me.
