Can't choose startup options

I have v1.5 of Dark Avatar. When I select a "New Game" it will not allow me to choose my civilization. I'm stuck with the Terran Alliance and can't choose anything else. Then later when you choose your opponents, I can't do that either. I also can't change the number of opponents. Everything else seems to work fine. What's wrong here?

You've probably got a scenario set. Switch it back to normal and you'll be able to pick again.
