Some help for a new player/owner

Questions regarding my laptop...

Hi first off let me post my laptop specs:
HPZV5404US
AMD Sempron 1.8ghz Processor
768mb of DDR PC2700 RAM
32mb GeForce 4 MX 420
Windows XP SP2 Pro
1024x768 Display
Borken CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive

GalCiv 2 Gold Edition

Now do I understand correctly that the license for GC2 will let me install this game on my Desktop and my laptop at the same time so long as I am the primary user? And that I don't need CD's to play?

If so since my CD Drive is broken on my laptop can I still download the game from the stardock servers even though I still have the CD's? And also can my laptop even run this game? Or would it be a wasted effort?

Yes - you can install and play the game on both. The license allow this.

No, once installed, you do not need to have the cd in the drive. Ever again.

Yes, if you have a valid license, you can download the game using the Star Dock Central application at any time. All you need to do is register it - you can even misplace the license key, and the SDC application will send you a new one as long as you have a valid email adress registered to your Stardock account.

Your laptop is a bit underpowered - it should play Dread Lords ok, I'm not sure how well it will handle Dark Avatar.

Well if it can handle Dread Lord ok then I am happy. It will keep me occupied in the mean time and then by the time I am good enough at this game to tackle Dark Avatar then I should have a new laptop by then. In the mean time most of my play time will be spent on my desktop which I think is plenty powerful except for the lack of a dual core processor.
