M-Post's wife again!
He's been keeping in touch by almost daily emails and weekly phone calls (when he can) and we are more than a month through his deployment. He has sent me back some beautiful pictures of places and some interesting stories.
So far so good. No serious injuries or illnesses, no big problems besides an A/C unit crapping out in his berthing and making things a bit stuffy down there for a while. Of course he's homesick and missing friends and family, including everyone at JU.
Mail drops are few and far between, but I did forward your greetings to him through emails and he appreciated them. And of course I will continue to forward them if anyone wants to leave some. He'd love to hear from you all.
And in the tradition of 'everything goes wrong once they leave the pier', I managed to pick up some kind of tummy bug, so I'm going to bed!
