The $67,000,000 Pants
or, an example of abuse of power...

In Washington D.C., Judge Roy Pearson is showing the nation why our Constitution is so important. Not by serving a slew of well thought out, principled, yet pragmatic decisions. But with his abuse of his power, over a pair of pants.
2 years ago, the judge enlisted the services of a local dry cleaner. The neighborhood dry cleaner, who seems an otherwise reliable service provider, as the failed "class action" suit the judge attemted failed, allegedly lost his pants.
The result is Judge Roy Pearson suing the small businessman for a reported 65-67 million dollars.
Where to even start with this? How did the judge even come up with such a ludicous figure?
Somehow, the amount got there due to the judge's "liberal" interpretation of statutes that grant an award of over 1000 dollars a day. Plus ridiculous rental car fees and this and that and wallah!!! 67,000,000 dollars.
Nevermind the value of the pants. Never mind the dry cleaner has offered to settle the suit for as much as 12,000 dollars. And that is after the pants were found and offered to the judge. There is just soooo much wrong with this it is unbelievable.
Why this judge hasn't been removed from office for his obvious abuse of the law and damage he has done a good, reputable businessman is ridiculous. He should be impeached, fired or whatever can be done. His mafioso style squeeze and vengence he has shown has to be considered in determining whether this man is fit to wear the robe and bang the gavel. I can't believe a man like this who can do what he is doing in abusing his power, the law and a small business owner can be trusted as a "fair and impartial" judge of anything. He needs to be removed, like yesterday.
