Flashing in the bottom left during games

I'm kinda new to this whole OS customization thing. Kinda really new.
Anyway, I got ObjectDock and Windows Blinds today, and I set them up to look pretty and have all my shortcuts nice and close at hand.
After that, I loaded up The Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion, to see how they would affect my framerates. To my surprise it ran quite well, I didn't have to adjust any settings or anything to get the same FPS I was getting without any additions.
Except for one problem, I kept seeing the start button in the bottom left hand corner. The start button (I'm using the neOS Neoshell skin) would flash for a few seconds, stop flashing, then start again. Is there a setting I can use to prevent this, or should I just close windows blinds before I start gaming?
Or should I just not use windows blinds, since this is a gaming computer?
