TV crushes

Because I have no life, I develop little crushes on TV characters. Not the actors, mind you, because you have no idea what actors are like in their real lives. Nope, I get crushes on the characters. So, here’s a little list of my character crushes:

Harry Dresden -- "The Dresden Files" Sci-Fi channel
Harry is my latest crush. Any one who knows me should know that I would fall for a wizard. A witty wizard detective who's pretty hot, smart and powerful and has a smart ass ghost as a friend is even better. He's ruggedly sexy, and I like that in a guy. ;)

Gregory House -- "House M.D." Fox
For normal, everyday ailments, I would never go to House. However, if I were every seriously sick, you'd better believe he'd be my doc. The fact that he's got killer blue eyes, a great smile (when he uses it) a wicked sense of humor and plays the piano beautifully doesn't hurt. That, and I have a thing for geniuses.

Luke Danes -- "Gilmore Girls" CW
He's a manly man. He wears flannel and a baseball cap, and he rarely shaves. He's a grouch. He can also cook, and is there in a heartbeat in any kind of emergency. Again, being good looking doesn't hurt.

Jim Halpert -- "The Office US" NBC
Being born on April Fool's Day makes one enjoy playing pranks on others. Every time Jim plays a prank on Dwight (or any other character) the "wait for it" and "It wasn't me" looks he gives the camera are priceless. I don't care if he wears pleated khakis, he's a very cute... dare I say "adorable" guy.

Old Crushes: These are characters I used to crush on... but not so much anymore

Wesley Crusher -- "Star Trek: TNG"
Can you blame me? He was young, smart, cute, funny. What can I say? I've always had a thing for geeks.

Hawkeye Pierce -- "M*A*S*H"
It really didn't matter to me that he was a womanizer. In fact, I always liked B.J. better, but B.J. was married, so Hawkeye was the natural one to have a crush on. Besides, he was really funny and idealistic, and those kinds of things are important to me.

Doogie Howser -- "Doogie Howser M.D."
I just realized, I have a thing for doctors... and geniuses. Go figure. ;)

Ok, that's enough of this list. I don't want to tell too much, because I've proved that I'm a dorky, nerdy geek more times than I can count. But, the real question is, is anyone else going to share? Oh, come on. Confession is good for the soul. You know you want to tell everyone. Besides, you'll make me feel a lot better. ;)

I've always had a thang for Luann on King of the Hill

I didn't consider cartoon characters... but then, I never thought Bugs Bunny was that hot, and those are the only cartoons I really watch.

Hey, no one asked you to critique my choices. He was my childhood crush, and I stand by my choice.

Oh, and I forgot Spike from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Angel was cool and all, but just not as funny. (Other than that Captain Peroxide comment he made about Spike) Plus, Spike can sing, and sing well. For that matter, so can Giles -- but Giles never did it for me like Spike did.

Hey, sorry I was not criticising, I was merely stating how I disliked the bloke is all. I do not like him.

Here are mine:

Michael Scoffield-Prison Break (real name Wentworth Miller)

Love his intensity and intelligence on the show...plus, he's pretty dang cute.

Hiro Nakamura-Hereos (real name Masi Oka)

He's adorable! Plus, he wants to save the world.

I also have an odd crush on Conan O'brien. Love his personality and sense of humor.

I suppose it's the baser, sexist side of me.

And it's a complete coincidence that half a lifetime later I became an Arabic linguist, I swear.

My first TV crush was Bo Duke from the Dukes of Hazard. My Dukes of Hazard T shirt was my absolute favorite.

Currently I would have to say Logan Echols from Veronica Mars. I just love the smart ass personality. It's always been more of a turn on to me than pretty boy looks.

I love Jack Bauer's voice. I don't know that I find him so great as I just love how he talks.

Chris Daughtry (that counts, right?)

As long as you keep posting pictures of him... of course!

David Duchovny... yep... he should go on my list too.

I just love the smart ass personality.

You and me both.

I just love how he talks.

You know, I think I liked my ex so much because I liked his voice... if only our entire relationship could have been conducted over the phone... I'll admit, I'm a sucker for a good voice myself.

Kate from Lost (Evangeline Lily) is a great, sassy, independant woman and just the type I like

I also had a bit of thing for the Cordelia character from Angel (Charisma Carpenter)

I think I've said more than enough...

WAIT! How could I for get Lisa Edelstein on House???

Damn! Where did Cuddy get that dress?

You guys have pretty good taste as well.

But my first love was Indian Jones....

He wasn't my first love, but he wasn't far behind.

My first love was Madmartigan.

I wouldn't answer to anything but Elora Danan for weeks. Then, I saw Anne of Green Gables... and I changed my name to Anne (with an e) for Gilbert Blythe.

Playing about on JU and other online sites like I am?

Actually, I've gotten five pages written in between drooling over hot guys and starting fights. Not too bad for a night's work.
