DeskScape 1.01 issue

Issue after upgrade

Hello,

I installed the original version of Deskscapes and everything ran without issue. I updated to 1.01 and now I have an issue with two dreams. They are the Apollo dreams. I contacted the creator of the dreams and he gave me a suggestion to try.

The issue itself is that the dream loads with messed up coloring and does not run. If I go to the Extracted dream and run it in Media Player, the video runs without issue. There is another dream called spaceflight that also does not run. Other dreams that were previously installed work without issue.

Here is what I have done so far:
Re-installed dream - No change
Re-installed Deskscapes - No change
Played Extracted dream in Media player - video runs
Tried setting vido as Background - Same problem as loading it from Backgrounds

Where do I go next to troubleshoot? What info do you need me to clarify?

OK I have found out that the issue is dealing with the ".wmv" dreams. Could it be a messed up association?

Might be a codec issue. Have you installed any programs which maybe came with codecs? Other than that I can't imagine why they would stop working

I have been thinking of that. The bad things are that 1. the video works fine in media player and 2. You cannot re-install media player on Vista. It looks like it is not available to download.

I had the same problem and i jsut fixed it. go to windows media player, then options, then performance, then untick "turn on directx video acceleration for WMV files. This may lessen the performance of then as dreamscenes a little, but it's worth it since they all work. let me know if it helps
