Windowblinds 5 skins most, but not all, apps

Until recently, I have been using Windowblinds 4 without problem, even on WB 5 skins. I have now at long last switched to WB 5, but find it less satisfactory than WB 4. For instance, with WB 4, my favorite skin, Ares, skinned everything. With WB 5, Ares does not skin IE Explorer 7, Outlook Express, and a number of other apps. Am I missing something. Shouldn't moving up to the latest release be better, not worse. For what it's worth, I'm still running XP Pro and don't plan to upgrade to Vista for another month. Should I assume (never assume) that things will work better under Vista than XP? Thanks for any help.

IE7 is only skinned by its own internal engine (as far as the tabs and toolbars), 3rd party apps can't skin it (but it apparently does in Vista). I don't use Outlook Express, but my Outlook 2003 seems to be skinned alright.

FF here skins fine, sometimes You need to minimize FF & left click on the main title bar..& or maximize & left click I think..sorry but another member posted the info and for the life of me I cannot remember who or what exactly he posted. I have never had any problems with FF. Using XP and no problems

Have you excluded any programs in the WB settings?...Did you reboot after update?

Just downloaded Ares & used it with FF...no problems..Are you using the default FF theme? and which version of FF?

Just trying to go through the possibility's. The other option is to uninstall WB through SDC, reboot, reinstall through SDC and important again to reboot.

I am very happy with the new 5.5
