No word on hardcover edition...

The "official" Windows Vista Resource Kit is now available and covers topics such as administering group policy, files and folders, programs, and deployment and configuration among many other useful topics.

"The official Windows Vista Resource Kit walks corporate users through the deployment, configuration and management of the operating system. The book dedicates more than 1,500 pages to in-depth technical guidance on automating deployment, implementing security enhancements, and troubleshooting for Vista, which was released to corporate users in November."

Well at 1500 pages I would bet it covers a great deal of everything you needed or wanted to know about the workings of Vista.  Read more at the article below.

i've been using vista ultimate 64 since early february and have no complaints. it's been rock solid for me. granted, there is a learning curve as to where everything is hidden now. on my next trip to the 'big city', i'll pick up a copy of that book.

I just think they ripped the macos10, shame really. There's a few bits that are nice in vista, but a lot of games wont run in it, as im a big Gamer, its not for me. My Xp looks just like it anyways:) thanx to Gef and a few more skinners...lol

Damnit ....Another hundred bucks! [AU]

...oh well, It's only money

If I could afford Ultimate, I can afford that too, I guess.

Agree Skyjax....being a big Gamer myself it's one of the reasons why I was never really looking forward to Vista - I knew this would happen even though the massive file system overhaul never made it to completion. Guess you just have to HD/partition if you want the best of Windows world.
