is there a way to uncheck your user pic and still have my name in the proper place on top of start menu? when i uncheck my user pic, my name is across the left default windowblind user icon on this one. i have to keep my user pic enabled to keep my name in correct position.see above....thanks

That is not a default user icon, it is part of the user pane image in this skin.
Since this skin is set up for Vista look with user icon on right, the content margin settings are set to move user icon, when in use, into the frame for it on right.
Open the skin in SkinStudio, on left side of preview select XP Taskbar, click on user pane in preview, in Text Settings you should be able to move text by increasing the X value of Text position shift

It has too.. its the only way to move text.. try adjusting it further.

ok, you do click on file then save before exiting, right? if so, then its not moving. i went from 15 to 50 then i tried from 15 to -50, it doesn't move. or can this be done with the blind in use?...

Yes but then you must reapply the skin for change to take place, text shift does work, I had it at X 50 and name was almost in middle of user pane.

ok, i have it on 40 and it did move it to the right, off the left user icon after i reapplied. it does take about 40 seconds for this skin to apply itself. this is the only skin i have that takes more than a couple seconds to apply itself. wb 5.5 sees it as an unknown. i wonder if i should download and reinstall this skin?...thanks everyone for your help..

some skins take forever to apply, I haven't really found any rhyme ir reason to it yet but probably due to bad workmanship.. Some ports take over 90 seconds to apply sometimes for me.

hehe.. Merci beaucoup Mon Secret

As far as Applying a WB Basj.. after you have made a change.. apply with WBconfig... it sped up my apply time about 7 million percent compared to applying with SKS. Just make sure to click "save" first in SKS if you altered any attributes other than overwriting an image. If you just made a change to an image and overwrite it.. no need to save first.. just apply in WBconfig. Should speed things up for you more.
