Be Free

With palms together,
Good Morning All,

Oh, the air is cold once again. I woke to a near freezing temperature outdoors. Goodness. Newly planted flowers will struggle a bit this morning. And as the sun rises and warms the air, so too will they rise and face the light.

In Buddhism we practice to see the deep connection between the sense organs and object of the sense organs. Skin to texture, eye to flower, mind to conception, tongue to food, ear to sound, nose to smell. We even include the processes, seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, feeling, and thinking. Eighteen of these little interconnected puppies altogether: a cacophony of being.

It is important to see these each as separate, yet the same, at the same time. Flower turns to face the sun, Or sun rises to greet the flower. Or there is absolutely no separation between sun and flower, light and dark, warm and cold. Each being a complete universe as it is. We reside in between. Our experience.

As each presents itself, there it is. We experience it and move on. Depending on our attitude we are either freed by the experience or mired in the mud of it. Our practice is to be free.

Be well.
