Terrans vs Yor

Rare planets, stars, anomalies, asteroids, and slow tech.

I'm starting a wicked cool game between Terrans and Yor on Gigantic map. Heres the thing though. The only condition of victory is through conquest. You have to play with rare planets both hapitable and inhapitable. Rare stars that are scattered. Rare asteroids and anomalies. Slow tech research(you don't have to do slow tech research, but I am). To make the game interesting pump the intelligence of either the Terran opponent or Yor opponent harder then you have played before (Unless you play ultimate intelligent opponents regularly in which case play the opponent at ultimate intelligence). Then post stories of whats going on in your civilization.

You can name your different ships and post screenshots of them in here. Name your General's, mining bases, starbases, and colonies. Post pictures whatever and just post a story once in awhile. Make it metaverse too if you like the points.

Ok, Good Luck.

OH one more important option that should be set is Blind Exploration.

(DEC 31st, 2223) The United States of Earth Global Congress met to discuss the future utilization of the Hyperdrive engine. They listened to over 30 proposals and after the long exhausting day was over only 3 proposals were put into effect. The Space Revelation proposal was voted 25,643 for/7,653 against.
(The Space Revelation proposal was to fund the construction of a research, surveillance and exploratory ship to go on a long-term mission into the galaxy)
The Mars Colonization proposal was voted 18896 for/14,400 against.
(The Mars Colonization proposal was to fund the construction of a gigantic space ship capable of transporting 1000 colonist and equipment to build a colony)
The Free Enterprise Galaxy proposal was voted 27864 for/5,432 against.
(The Free Enterprise Galaxy proposal was to allow licensed organizations free enterprise in the development of galactic resources; so long as they abide by all global trading practices and work safety laws.)
The three proposals were given a budget of 8 billion credits a week and a schedule of 2 years. With a 2-year restriction cap on The Free Enterprise bill so the proper safety laws could be researched and put in effect.

Captain Nathan Denton christened the ship by throwing a bottle of champagne against it's side. The bottle ship exploded, and the people gathered in the launching area of the shipyard cheered at the event. The bottle exploding was a sign of good luck. Captain Nathan Denton and the worlds 20 best astronuats were about to board the Earth One survey ship for the first time. This state of the art ship would not be reproduced for some time. The planet had poured an extroadinary amount of research and money on it's production, and most of Earth's scientist had drifted off into studying a new science "Xeno Research" (A study system for the development of different planets including ours). Captain Denton and second in command Dutch Sterk led the way into ship. Earth One was around 300 meters long and 4 stories high. It was roughly around 3 1/2 football fields long and was quite spectactular site, but not as spectacular as the Mars Colony Ship or the Mining Vessel that Trilath had developed(Both of which were three quarters mile long).
The inside Earth One were comfortable and smelled new. There were several elevators, a cafeteria, an engine room, a main bridge, a brig, and enough rooms to house 250 people comfortable although only a crew of 20 was need to run the ship.
altogether 230 people had been picked and authorized to go on this mission which included scientists, rich eccentrics, military, ambassadors, language specialists, mechanics, and astronomers. Not to mention the cook.

All three vessels left at the countdown of the second years end. With Captain Rilez commandeering the Mars Colony Ship filled with 1000 volunteers and Mars's newest politician Governor Joseph Yudkovich, and Captain Joel David comandeering "Old Rusty" the Trilath corporation's massive mining ship containing all the grunt mine workers you could ever need.

The Mars colony had been established and began building an infrastructure including a factory and a starbase. The colony hooked up on the internet using satellites that reflected back and forth from earth. The web was no longer World Wide but Interplanetary Wide.

The Trilath landed on a gigantic asteroid that had been orbiting earth, and began developing mankinds first mining base outside of the Earth's atmosphere. They named the first base "Armstrong" after the first astronuat to walk on the moon. It was an exciting project.

Earth One had it's owm computer system, but could not effectively reach and give signals back to earth. Which would put earth behind on the ground-breaking news. Although no planet's or asteroids were found orbiting Alpha Centuari the nearest star the sensors spotted the remains of an extraterrestial ship. After sifting through the wreckage pieces of the engine were kept for research purposes. With that Captain Denton ordered to direct the Ship further in the same direction.

Numerics junkie setting in here - the Yor will be nearly unstoppable on such a big map with Super Isolator going against the Terrans, assuming a 50-50 racial split or something anywhere near that for the two races - the Terran will have serious issues getting deep into Yor space with the max speed penalty. Meanwhile a Terran AI really doesn't get anything out of Super Diplomacy in a 1v1.

Oh true
Well do whatever you want and write about it.
To even it up you could try to do Yor vs Yor, but rename one of the
yor and switch the racial picture and logo to human.
Freestyle it if you want. I set my game up so that humanity will be crushed
but hopefully I can make some interesting twist happen.

I stopped writing for a second cuz I had a previous game going.
(I must have OCD, because I didn't feel right leaving it behind.)
I played AI opponents with normal intelligence, and the only one that gave me trouble was the
Thalans. They ended up three times more powerful then me so I just gave them a bunch of stuff and made an alliance with them. Game over. I want more of a challenge now.

I just finished it so I'm back, but yeah write out any of your games.

BACK TO THE STORY:

Earth-

On Earth development started on a brand new kind of infrastructure. Instead factories and labs being spread out they were seperated and concentrated. This was to prevent further global warming, pollution, and harm to the earth's constitution. Earth's public transportation system had become lightening quick and free(personal transportation speeds were monitored). 2 Factory areas, 2 market areas, and 2 research areas were designated and developed. Each one of them was a Mecca of their own purpose.

Earth One Flagship-

After traveling through the Centauri system the ship continued it's search for intelligent life. Several ancient artifacts from some unknown technologically advanced civilization were found. Each one found in drifting rubble. Three of the discoveries were microchip components. After sending them to the research deck the Earth One's electronic scientist Dr.Eswin reported that they would be useful in boosting the development of entertainment systems. I'm sure that will make some happy on Earth. The next artifact that we found was a container of plasma that Dr.Eswin remarkably harnessed into a shield system that boosted this ships defensive capability. Through this device he created it sends vibrations through our hull which strengthens it.

After traveling the same course for 30 Parsecs(i.e. 45 lightyears) we reached the planetless Markus system. Commander Sterk suggested switching course towards the Nestor system. After consideration I decided that was the best plan of action, because of the 2 star systems in close proximity to it.

In route towards the Nestor System we stumbled upon a wormhole. After some analysis and a meeting between the Earth One's officers and scientist we decided to travel through it. We are now deep in the Beta quadrant 441 lightyears farther then we have ever been before. We are going to have to go into stasis while we make our way back, but this is going to be an excellent chance to leave our sensors on to map and survey our route home.

Mars Colony:

Until further soil treatment is discovered it's infrastructure cannot be developed further. Only 1 market area, 1 factory area, and 1 research are could be developed besides the shipard and colony itself. Although small the new population seems very content and happy. People are migrating by the millions.

Trilith:

6 more asteroid mining bases were developed which included:

In the Earth side asteroig field: (the first mining base; Armstrong Mine) Trilith HQ, Trilith Garret Mine, Trilith Gates Mine.

In the Jupiter side asteroid field: Trilith Sun Mine, Trilith Haley Mine, Trilith King Mine, and Trilith Prince Mine.

Their operations have been so succesful that investors have been flooding out of the woodwork, and new enterprises are being formed. In an attempt to stay ahead of the competition Trilith has sent it's space mining ship(named Rusty) to set up bases in the Centauri system were an asteroid field was recently discovered.

Earth:

Proving that their research labs were not a waste Scientist have developed new propulsion techniques on the foundation of Hyperdrive, and a new scientific field geared towards galactic warfare. With pressure from the United Earth congress the galactic warfare field was concentrated on, and scientist developed a powerful new laser weapon that can be used in outerspace. It is still a beta, but it won't be long until we harness it and develop a space defense system. This new discovery will put many pessimists at ease.

Congress also designated more funds towards the construction of a space scouting ship. It was developed quickly thereafter, and sent to explore the immediate area. The vessel was named Explorer and piloted by none other then Mars's own Captain Rilez.

Mars:
With emphasis on commerce Governor Joseph Yudkovich cut any military funding on mars.

Explorer:
So far so good. Me and my copilot Tim Dean have traveled 14 lightyears away from earth. It's been a quiet journey so far passing only one small asteroid field. The living situation isn't too bad. This vessel is fitted with a small sleeping quarters where we bunk, a shower area, and a small kitchen area with running water, a microwave, a toaster oven, and plenty of rations including a cold food storage under the floor. We each brought our portable computers to entertain us. I'm not sure how long it takes to send messages to earth from here, but I'm personally not gettng a good connection to the interplanetary web. They definitly need to work on that.
