WindowBlinds trial image stuck on the screen

Hi, i've downloaded WB-trial version and have just started experimenting with some skins. The problem now is when i start up my computer, the trial image wont dissappear when i click 'continue'. It stays on top of everything else. Also i'm unable to unload WB, and i can't find out where i disable it from startup. (Thats right, computer is not my strongest field.)

I have rebooted my computer 10 times now, but the window stays put. Very frustrating! It worked just fine yesterday, and i have 59 days left on my trial. Help me please.

regards,

Not much to go on. Do the following so we have a starting point

Right-click on your desktop > choose "Properties" > Appearance Tab > Windowblinds button > In the list at the left click on "View My System Information" > Highlight the text on the page and press CTRL+C > Paste (CTRL+V) that information into a reply on this thread.

Ok, i just reinstalled WB and it seems fine. Anyways, here are what you asked for. I guess it wont help you now that it works though.

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC

Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

One reboot later: same problem. This image does not show in task manager, so i can't exit that way either. I can't move the window, so it's stuck right in the middle of the screen, on top of everything else.

I'll take it from the start and maybe we'll figure it out.
-downloaded WB, installed and tried a couple of skins. Downloaded another skin and installed it.
-formated my computer (due to other issues) and reinstalled windows.
-downloaded and installed WB again, found the same skin and reinstalled it too.
-the first couple of times after rebooting my computer i got the Windowblinds trial window, but it disappeared after clicking continue. (have to mention that if i didn't click continue right away it wouldn't go away.)
-Then suddenly it just was stuck in the middle of the screen. I have no idea what to do, else than uninstall and reinstall the program for every time i'm rebooting my computer.

System information is the same now as it was last time i pasted it.

I hope this was understandable.

How many days does it say you have left?

I see a couple possibilities.....
1. You've passed the 60 day mark (reformatting does not "reset" this) and you need to uninstall or purchase Windowblinds.
2. You've got a conflict with a Anti-Virus, Firewall or other program.
3. May need to upgrade your Video drivers to the latest versions.

1st 2 option on the left in WB configuration when choosing a skin. Windows Classic or XP - Using a default classic or xp skin causes WB to not run at startup (no point in running if you're not using a WB skin) - usually when I switch to xp - it reverts to classic looking but called it 'xp(modified)' when right clicking the desktop > properties > themes. Usually I have to pull down the drop down and reapply an XP theme.

at the very least it should say 50 = 5.5 trial came out 3/11/2007

found the same skin and reinstalled it too.

is it only hanging on this one skin? or any skin?

Could you post a screenshot of the dialog?

-Trial version has 58 days left.
-I use AVG free antivirus, and the standard windows firewall. Don't know if this helps.
-I think i got the latest drivers when i reinstalled windows, but cant confirm this. I just installed from a cd i got the same day from Dell.

-it hangs on any skin

I will post a screenshot in a sec

i clicked view image and it worked for me at least. Anyway, when i reboot my computer it's like the window isn't responding, but as i said it's not in my task manager. None of the three buttons work.

thank you. I let the skin choose the font size. I think thhe only thing i have changed from default settings is 'always small taskbar size'.
