Quentin, that lets you select a specific catagory.  A goal might be to show all EXCEPT a catagory.

But on right menu of gallery there is the solution cause the code allow you to change your settings and keep it like your personal page settings.
Think this is the solution here not?

There is an almost secret option to hide whole galleries from the gallery page.  I wish that could be extended.

For Tiggs: Matt! First of all I must say that you are the first man who show me the way for DesktopX understanding. Due to you I have believed to the Great Potential of this software and have loved it. Great thanks for this! I'm really happy to see you again and to talk with you.

Then I must say there are some things here which I can't understand because these things are impossible in my country. For example why the Community stays indifferent when one of the best authors are disappears from this page and nobody know nothing what happened to him. It seems to me this is not good...

I love widgets too and I agree that they have enourmous potential which not realized. However this work takes a lot of time (at least from me) if we really creates a "widgets" but not a "skins". Some time ago I was so fascinated on this that has nearly lost my main business that bring me money!    Problem is already solved.    But it was a "good lesson" compelled me to find the way how spend my free time more rationally. (I think that the similar problems with the lack of time have a lot of people here).

Ok. I'll be waitting for your new additions. Particularly a widget which uses WB skin (I have some ideas how to do this and it would be great to see how you have realized this on a practice).

For c242: I think that "Skinable" widgets will be the next generation of these applications. You and RomanDA have already done the first step on this direction. And this is very good. I have no time to work on this yet but I can give you a several advices that help you to make the next step.

1. You may look at the WindowBlinds keys in the Windows registers (use regedit for this):
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\WindowBlinds\WB5.ini\WBLiteFX\Skinset"
This is a skin that installed on your computer.

2. You may open this skin in the Skin Studio and look what images are used for this skin. Then you need only to chose the necessary *.bmp or *.tga and apply them to your widget (object.picture = image path).
Open a folder with this skin if you have Skin Studio installed, look at the *.uis file (use notepad for this) to find the necessary images. Then use object.picture = image path.

As you see this is not a hard way.  

Vad : I have based many of the skins of my sSI on WB-graphics and therefore looked at the wb's and loaded graphics from skinstudio converted to png. The problem is the variety of those. Sometimes I used portions of the startmenu and sometimes portions of the "Please Wait" screens and the contained progress bars or a mix of all of them. In either way I had to cut things out and paste some new bits to make them fit and look good. So I am very sceptical on being able to automate this process. A way would be to choose the menu backgrounds everytime, but that would make quite boring skins.

Nevertheless good suggestions.

Another idea would be to let DesktopX itself have some form if Skin-Importer, but I don't see that happen anytime soon.

Ok. I undestood how you have realized this. But it would be exactly cool if the widget will find and change its skin automatically. This may be possible if its form will be "friendly" for some WB skin parts... So let's think about. (Sorry that I don't see your next post...)

That one for sure. Or we had some super duper gadget that wb skinners just desired to add a graphic for that themselves.
