Dialog backgrounds no longer skinning.

All skins...latest WB full release.

None of my dialog backgrounds are being used any longer.I put them in all skins.

I need them back...where did they go?

Time for a case to https://www.stardock.helpserve.com ?

SIGH...I suppose so Zubaz...at least I had this one in the right category...Stardock support...

I give up on the forums...only good for noobs and gossip.

Not new.  It's been around for a while. Nice knowledge base adn cases created there feed into the same system that emailing [email protected] does.

You know that's not true.
But unless some other skinner has the same problem and (more importantly) a solution it's unlikely you'll get a useful response.

Good luck.

HEhe,maybe the category should read Skinner Support and not Stardock Support.?

If you open RegEdit and navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\WindowBlinds\wb5.ini\WBLiteFX

What value does noDiaBitmaps have?

Hello Neil...good to see you.  There is no reg key for that at all in mine.
I added the key and now they are back.  At least that will allow me to finish that section in the skin.
Thanks for the heads up Neil, hope you can get it working in the next WB release.

So, what is the correct value if you want to skin dialogs, 1 or 0? Mine is set at 0 and my dialogs are skinned, but this post has confused me and I do want to be able to update WB without loosing that functionality.

Has anyone seen them come back, that hasnt used the registry edit...is it fixed yet?

Some advice to Stardock...sending users into the registry to fix bugs is a bad idea.Somebody WILL screw something up.

Anybody know?Are they fixed yet?

This post is from MARCH 10...and they still dont work...I'm begging Neil...please fix...my skins look bad without them.

Please refrain from suggesting the reg fix...that only works locally...and sending users into the registry is bad mojo...never know what they are going to bugger up.

I went and looked and I do not have that key at all. I'm not messin with the Registry. I know I'll screw up something.

Puhlease fix.Pretty please...with sugar on top.

It looks like this value is not managable from within the WB6 Configuration Dialog. I will speak to the developers and let them know that this feature is being requested.

Glad this is moving forward.

Me too Zubey...it might not seem important to some, but for me its almost as bad as if the toolbar graphic suddenly stopped displaying.

Well,Slider is done...with dialog backgrounds...are we there yet? ;)

I.R. -

They're skinning here OK, using SKS5 to set them:

uh,sks isnt the prob, its wb...unless wb writes that ONE line in the registry, setting them in sks wont make any difference.

I see them...but testers who havnt manually added that line do not...and in Slider,it looks bad. :SNIFF!:

Odd. I haven't made any reg changes and the dialog background in the skin above displays . On XP here.
