Make sure you follow the directions accurately. They will appear on the generic tab along with all the hardpoint formations when the DA version of the mod is installed correctly.

what happened is the program is now in the e drive and i tried to load the mod from the c drive but it didn't work

so in trying to get to the e drive i hit the default button and now i am stuck in the default mod

The mod must be placed and the batch file run in the proper location relative to your GC2/DA installation. Obviously if you put them somewhere other than the default place, you should adjust your installation of the mod accordingly. I'm pretty sure the readme does indicate that.

the other part of the problem is that there isn't any default mod

If there isn't a 'default' folder in the mods folder, then the game isnt set to actually use that mods folder. If it was, it would have created the default folder when you ran it.

Check the mods folder path in your DA prefs.ini. It should say something like C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Mods. As you would expect that will vary depending on where the game is at. The folder listed there is where the mod needs to go.

there is no mods in da only in dl

however this is where the mod is stuck pointing to

c:\program\files\stardock\total gaming\galciv2\darkavatar\mods\default

i may have put a space in there shouldn't be there

If that is what the prefs.ini says in My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar, then it is correctly set to use the default mods folder. You should be able to install the mod in C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Mods as per the readme and select it in-game.
