so I bought the gold edition. . . after already owning original, can't update DA

I got a message saying my account has to be merged, and to contact the star-doc address (wich I forgot), anyhow I understand this as I already owned the original and uninstalled it before I bought this gold version (I'm still one of the few uneasy about online shopping)

yes I have a stardock account, I was just wondering if there is a faster way to resolve this, mabe by an administrator or mabe just leaving my original galciv2 on the harddrive than installing the gold, yay or nay


in another note, buying the gold version (boxed) didn't give me a serial for DA, it just gave me a single serial wich I assumed coverd both. . .somehow?

Did you buy the box direct or in a store?

If you got it direct, AFAIK your serial will have been already linked to the email address you bought it under, so you will need to contact [email protected] and have that address's record merged with your pre-existing account.

If you got it in the store, you'd simply need to register your Gold serial as DA on your existing account, via Stardock Central's Register Products dialog.

How do you register Gal Civ 2 Gold/DA without running Stardock Central? If you click on register on the bottom of the page, it just has options for the original GC2.

I'm not aware of any other means at present. If you don't have internet on your gaming machine and you can't install SDC where you do have internet (work, library, etc), you can probably shoot an email to [email protected] and ask them to attatch the serial manually to your account.
