BootSkin question

really strange thing, I made a bootskin with no progress bar. copied the ini from one of the sample bootscreens that also did not have a progress bar, edited my file names accordingly, zipped it up, changed the .zip to .bootskin, opened bootskin, imported, got a message that said "imported successfully", BUT.. the skin I made is not in the list to choose from. If I look at the bootskin folder the one I made is in there with the proper files also, but it just does not show up as a selection choice in bootskin. any suggestions?

Well was your image 640 x 480 resolution? Did you convert it to 4 bit? Is the name of the .ini "bootskin.ini"?

He said it installed fine just didn't show up in the BootSkin program viewer. He's also not using a progress bar so there are no multiple palettes to match.

Have you checked in explorer, if your bootscreen is in a folder under the program?

UPDATE : Thanks for the help but the person I was trying to create the thing for in the first place decided she didn't want it anymore so the project got scrapped. maybe I'll try again with one a little more simple than a college logo.
