More Minor Races

How to force galciv to spawn more minors

Is there any file or line I can change in an xml or something to force more minors into the game? I rather miss seeing them all over, I need someone to stomp on to get my teeth wet (is that even an expression?)

Minors are i believe dependant on galaxy size. The bigger the galaxy the more minor races you can have. There is also a selector in the galaxy selection screen to say how many you want in your game. I think that the max amount you can field is hard coded into the game

BTW we are all sitting here with our fingers crossed hoping that the changes Frogboy hinted at for the minors are soon to come to fruition!

I don't have DA, there is no selector as to how many minors. Is there any other way?

Actually I believe you are able to have more than 8 minor races in game it's just that you only can start with a max of 8, I started with 8 in my current game. Still have 8 and several unhappy citizans for the something league however, I haven't come in contact with that minor yet so I only have contacted 8 but, I believe there is 9 in my current game.

(I think "get my feet wet" was what you were aiming for, of course; but "get my teeth wet" has a lovely vampiric feel to it, IMHO)
