DA metaverse raceconfig problem

Been trying to start my second DA metaverse game, this time as Yor. When I get to the point of choosing my race and configuring, I choose the 10 points alloted, then go on with random opponents. When I start the game, it says something like:
"This race configuration is invalid. Use the clear button to restore the race configuration to default version. If you don't, this metaverse game will be invalid."
When I go back and set up another game, this time hitting the "reset" button for racial abilities, I get the same message. What's this "clear" button it's talking about?
BTW, I didn't do anything strange at all. I just chose options available on the 3 main screens: 1) settings for the game, like map size, etc., where I chose all random, Medium map, no scenario; 2) race chosen as Yor (is it possible that I shouldn't choose any of the 10 ability points available? I don't remember that as being a problem for a meta game); and 3) chose 5 random opponents, nothing custom.
Anyone else seen this? I had this happen for my first DA meta game, as the Drath. Somehow, I got it to work that time. But I'm sure I did nothing other than hit the reset button for racial abilities, since I have no idea what this "clear" button for racial config is.
