DeskScapes & DreamScene Fails After Install

After successfully installing and using the Windows DreamScene Preview (it only comes with one animated wallpaper - but at least I can verify it works). I then install DeskScapes successfully. Now the problems begin. When I try and select a DeskScapes Dream, I receive the following error message: "Windows DreamScene has encountered an error. The video file format is not supported, or there was an error decoding this video file." Even better, now my DreamScene animated wallpaper no longer works either - it now causes the same error message.

I've attempted restarting my PC several times. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled DeskScapes and DreamScene in various combinations (once, I installed DreamScene before DeskScapes and then I tried the opposite order), all to no success.

Please help.

i have this problem too. It worked for a few days, then it may have crashed when i update my nvidia drivers. Reverting back didnt fix the problem either, nor did reinstalling dreamscene/deskscapes. I'm now using nvidia's latest non-beta drivers released a couple of days ago. I'm desperate to show people this on my pc!

Re-installing nvidia purevideo decoder fixed this problem for me
