I came to find moving wallpaper, I found something else

This my first post here. I came to look into the moving wallpaper I head ran on vista. We have a brandy new Vista system in our lab and I thought moving wallpaper would be cool. Seeing the link to these forums, I followed and guessed that "Object Desktop" was where you might be talking about the animated wallpaper (now know to me as DreamScene.) So then I clicked on the first post, "Why Subscribe."
All I can say is your business must be booming, since you allow your CUSTOMERS to be abused by what I believe were members of your support staff and their friends. This has to be one of the worst examples of customer support I have ever seen.
Responders to this post took every opportunity to twist the CUSTOMER'S statements and avoid answering his questions. Is implying that the CUSTOMER is a liar, a thief and a fool part of your regular business practices?
If I misinterpreted what I read and there were no employees involve I'd be happy to hear this back. Otherwise I don't think I'll get any wallpaper here. I'd be too afraid that it might have problems and that I might need support.
I also could not log in the first time I tried. I saw the "object moved here" page just like your CUSTOMER said. So now you have three liars.
I just noticed that Mr Dunn's topic has been edited with at least one message from the customer and two more messages from others being deleted. I am very sure that I saw three or more messages after Mr Jafo closed the thread. It looks like some cover-your-butt is occurring prior to the bosses coming in Monday morning.
You need not reply to my earlier question, I believe I've seen enough.

In case you wonder back this way, just so you'll know - the forums are actually user support forums. Users post problems, users try to help with answers. Official support is requested via email or helpserve ticket.

I do find it kinda suspiciously sad you would base your whole outlook on one forum post when a little common prudence would dictate some further perusal in which case you would find hundreds of helpful posts. But life is freedom, you may travel a path as narrow as you wish.

Yes, there were 3 or 4 comments posted AFTER the thread was locked.  That is a minor cache issue.

The reason any such comment is removed once a lock is inplace is to protect the individual rights of ALL parties.

Allowing someone to take a parting jibe at another's expense, without capacity to reply is not acceptable, hence their removal.

There's certainly no 'covering of butts', as those vested with the responsibility regarding the Wincustomize.com Forum management were all here and onboard.

The 'complaint' instigating the thread was never successfully verbalized...and at the end was found redundant anyway.

Any and all failures to access the thread/logon were inadvertent and simple bugs as DO happen.

No-one's account was removed. No-one was gagged.

If that thread was your first/only experience with Wincustomize.com then I certainly share/understand your disdain, however look more closely at exactly why it appeared to leave the rails.

Take an objective look....

It's funny how you can just gloss over your problems. These login problems led two parties to this conversation thinking they were being locked out of the board. OK, this was not intentional I believe that now; but the result of YOUR web software failing led to some pretty nasty commments from your ppl. If all of your problem are just simple ones, why don't they get fixed.

Two independent parties have done this (TarkusShakti and JamesGB) and both found problems with your arguments. But I guess only stardock fanboys came be objective here.

Someone answer this question and you'll likely never hear from me again: Why doesn't Stardock Support answer their emailed bug reports? You all have danced around that question from the beginning; let's see if you can answer it.

Are you still at it? Are you for real? I would say by the look of it you have deep emotional problems and probably don't have any friends so you come here to hear yourself talk and get off on being a total jerk. If your comments were removed so you didn't look better, then your whole thread would have been removed. The staff here does not operate like that. Everyone here has bent over backwards to help you and still you piss and moan.
The staff here is wonderful and while I have had my problems from time to time, I can still recognize their worth and willingness to help all they can. I just have to be forth coming with my problem. Something you have failed miserably at time after time.
I can only imagine your rain of terror will be coming to an end soon since it is not your intention to actually get help. You are only here to cause trouble. If there is anyone here avoiding the truth it is you. So please, tell us what your 11 problems are instead of telling us they are irrelevant now. If that is so, then you surely never came here to get help in the first place or did they just suddenly go away?

Sorry if I offended you in any way. I would use the excuse that 'all' were a little 'aggressive' in their comments on the other thread and hope that would be enough without having to go over all the details of who said what to who. I'm big enough to say I may have been or was wrong or out of line.

My offer still stands and I believe I can speak for others, we would genuinely like to help you if you will just give us the info on those 11 bugs/issues. However, if it is like you said, 'mute' at this point and the only issue you care about is the fact that your email was not responded to, might I suggest as was asked of you earlier, post the ticket number and dates and such of these emails so they can be looked into.

As someone who once was aggravated enough to post the head of a third world dictator on a mods body and put it in a bootskin AND upload it (and the mod allowed it to be posted, yet), I can assure you the folks here are able to forgive, forget, overlook, and move on for the sake of all...AND are still willing to assist you.



note* SD does answer their emails....for me it was several issues with IP and my subscription renewal which I paid for and didn't show for a week. As for your emails..please...post the tracking info, the emails, the 11 issues/bugs. Why spend/expend so much negative energy on getting nothing resolved when all here want to help?

I'm sorry, but I have to close this thread.  The original thread was closed because it got out of hand.  This thread is not an excuse to revive the argument.

Posts that got in after the lock due to the caching issue are deleted as policy.  It's not to censor, it's to prevent people getting in that "parting shot" without others having the chance to respond.
