Aw Man! Poor Kid

I'm watching a local news story about a 15 year old girl in St Pete who has had a bad case of the hiccups for over 3 weeks. They're showing her and it's not just a hiccup every once in a while but constant, non-stop, one right after the other hiccups.

The doctors are at a loss for treatment. They've tried different drugs and so far they've come up with nothing to stop them. As much as I hate having the hiccups every once in a while, I can imagine just how miserable this poor girl must be to have had them constantly for over 3 weeks.

Good grief! That would drive anyone crazy.

Yep. Longest I ever had them was like 4 hours and I was about to go nuts.

The 1977 edition of the guiness book of records it states that Charles Osborne from Iowa started hiccoughing in 1922 and hadn't stopped to date (1977) It also says that his wife left him and he couldn't keep his false teeth in!!!


The 1998 book of records says he stopped hiccoughing in 1990! Makes Charles Osborne of Anthon Iowa the longest hiccougher at 68 yrs..... Says here he married twice and had 8 kids...


I remember reading about his case. Guy must be insane now.
