A few questions about opponent customization

I'm really enjoying all the customization options for opponents in DA, but I have some questions about how they interact with the randomization options presented:

1) If I change the personality, aggression, and difficulty settings for an AI player and then have the AI select random opponents, are those changes retained in the race if it's selected randomly for the game?

2) Does the AI spend attribute points for a given opponent if I don't?

3) If I select "randomize intelligence" which sliders, exactly, are adjusted? Does it just randomize the economic bonus and algorithm usage sliders? Do any of the other sliders get changed or reset?

Thanks for any answers.

While I'm asking questions...

4) How exactly does "aggression" work? Is it simply a matter of providing more "militant" minuses in the diplo screen or is there more to it?

good questions.

i'm certainly not the expert to answer this question, these are only my impressions. i strongly believe the answer to both questions is that intelligence and agression levels actually affect the algorithms themselves (which ones are available and how strongly certain choices are weighted). i don't think they affect CPU usage or 'financial resources' (except AI difficulties above tough get economic boosts, but i think the financial resources slider is separate/on top of that, which means it could be used to undermine the bonuses given to maso level AIs for example, effectively setting them back to tough).

anyone care to correct me? i'd like a more definate answer for sure.

I second that -> good questions, I'm also interested (while waiting for galciv2 gold to show up), and dystopic had good answers for a non-dev

another question, (mabe I should start my own thread?)

Q. does set up AIs save over to the next game you play (a kind of temporary default for your next game like old galciv2)

mabe there could be an option to save races to play agienst, unless this is in their somewhere already

Yes, the next game you start will use the same opponents as the last one, with the same settings.

It should be.

Yes.

Finances and Natural Abilities.

Thanks for the responses kryo, that's exactly how I was hoping it worked.
