Now, we must build freighters and send them to other planets. Once our freighter has done that, a trade route is created. The number of trade routes we can manage depends on our trade ability. Other technologies enable us to have more trade routes.

Could you explain what you are trying to do a little bit more better? I'm not quite sure what it is you are trying to do.

I currently have two guesses:
-A: You're trying to create a module that serves as a source of income.
-B: I' not sure... are you trying to create some sort of planet trade module structure!?!

Either option is unlikely to work. I don't think you can swap starship parts with planet structures.

The modding aspect of this game doesn't allow you to create something very different than what already exists. I've tried to create a starbase modules, in the past, that increased the hit points of the starbase. The problem was, no starbase module does anything like that, so its not possible to make a module that does.

kryo if you look in the new show your ships you will see some space cities

i want to make a module for them that serves as a source of income a set income instead of a percentage

What you posted was a technology definition, not a ship component.

I'm still not entirely sure if you're expecting to create a ship module or starbase module that generates a flat amount of income, but in either case, no, that is not possible. Ship and Starbase modules can only perform the existing functions covered in the modding guide, though you can freely decide the power of the functions and other such settings.
