Uninstall/Install Question - Clean Start

I'm an owner of GalCiv II and want to purchase the expansion. However, before doign that I want to have a clean start since it has been a long time since I played and not sure what kind of shape I left my install in with all the mods and such. Can I completely uninstall the game and then reinstall? Do I need anything special to do that? Will I loose my license or anything? Also, if I remember correctly, I got the version where it had all the extra mods for ships, how would I keep that or reinstall that portion? Thanks for your help.

Yep.

Nope. If you installed through SDC though, you'll need to remove through SDC (it won't be in Add/Remove Programs).

Nope. You might need to reactivate though.

It should remain between the installations.
