Ships from Dread Lords?

Are we able to use Custom ships we made from Dread Lords in dark avater? I'm guessing so, since all the "classic" hull parts are still available, and I have copied the ships from DL onto the DA folder in my documents, but theyre not showing up in "battle of the Gods," possibly because there is no longer the old "torian" design.

Can someone let me know how to move my custom ships from DL into DA? I'm afraid I'm illiterate about these things; I know they need to go from one folder to another, but which one?

You can copy the files from My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships folder to My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar\ships folder.

Yeah, there used to be a handy "Templates" tab in the ship creation screen. That seems to have disappeared...

So it does work? What do I need to do to get a ship from the "Torian" style from Dl to appear in a Dark Avatar game?

The Torian style now uses the prefix s4_ on its ships, so you will need to rename the DL ship design files to match (previously Torian was s1_ if I remember).

It's still there.

Thanks Kryo, might I ask which one the Iconian number is?

Iconians use s9_ in DA. In DL they shared s1_ with the Torians.

You can check the rest yourself just by looking at the files in DarkAvatar/Data/English/ShipStyles.

i've moved my ships from the DL ships folder to the DA ships folder, all XML docs, but they still don't appear in the game at all; neither do my added logos and portraits. what more do I need to do?
