Is it possible to get rid of that annoying grey box around thumbnail pictures  (in the 'thumbnail view' setting) in a folder !?

Thanks

what grey box are you talking about? I need more info here to try to help you out.
I think and presume you are talking about when you open my documents, and perhaps open 'my music, or my pictures.'....are you talking about the grey box that highlights it when you double click?

if you are, then in skinstudio explorer you go to miscellanious, colours.
Then click on 'selections' (in the right window pane) and you will see

HIGHLIGHT TEXT
HIGHLIGHT
GREY TEXT
HOT TRACKING.

Its the 'highlight' colour that you have to change, in order to get what you want.

i hope this is what you were after, if not, lament more and I will try my best.

Hi there !

Thanks for the reply.

I was trying to refer to the default thumbnail view in explorer (without an icon being selcted/highlighted).

The icons in thumbnail view are surrounded by a box (in my case, grey). If I cant remove that box altogether, do you know if I can change it to white (to blend in with the explorer backround !?)

Thanks again for trying to help !

If you make the color match too good you will have some hard to read text issues down the road. Some programs use that color for text. Spybot is one program. I think Stardock Central is another. Be careful.
