And for me to say that...you better believe it's freakin' cold.

30 degrees?...*psh* jacket weather...20, not bad...15...kinda chilly...10? Okay...gettin' a bit cold. Oh...what's that? 1 freakin' degree?....

It is now hovering around -1 to 1 degrees outside....what happened to all the global warming? I have to walk to class in 7 degree weather...why the hell doesn't this college ever close? *sigh* I miss my crappy car, at least it had a heater. True I don't have to be exposed to Arctic temperatures for more than 10 minutes or so...but seriously, this is just too cold for moving. My high school has been off for like 3 days because of the cold....and it's only 2 hours away...not like there's a heat wave down here or anything. Bleh....

The ironic thing is that there is a weather precaution advisory on the school website, but we still have classes. It's like saying, "It's pretty cold out, try not to die...but get your ass to class."

Oh well...as long as I keep moving my blood shouldn't crystalize.

How's the wind? That was the worst part. I could take the 1 degree if the stupid wind was not whipping down the Miami valley and freezing the balls off of a brass monkey!

I hate the cold. I just hate, hate, hate, hate, hate it. It's-a the suck.

We finally warmed up for the first time in weeks yesterday.

Sorry, dude.

I know how you feel. I despise cold with a passion. In my line of work taking a day off because of dangerously cold temps isn't even an option.

"It's pretty cold out, try not to die...but get your ass to class."

Yeah, the "try not to die" part is pretty good advice I think.

It was -21 with wind chill yesterday but our school still had classes.  Both boys didn't have heat in their rooms so they ended up in the library and teacher's lounge.  No school today for some reason

Try not to die!

This is the second day of no school here in the Miami Valley.

My son was forced to play outside in Alaska until -20.  And still went to school when it was -40, but with indoor recess, heh.

I don't understand why school is not running.

I went to college in North Dakota Zoo...and the parking lot was in BFE.  Many many days I tromped through the snow in -20 weather, so I feel your pain.  It never seemed as cold when I was going from my car to the mall though.  Hmmmmmmm.

This is the exact quote of the bulletin posted on the website as of Monday:

"Be smart. This week's cold temperatures call for layers. Wear a hat, a scarf or better yet a knit mask to cover face and mouth, mittens (they are warmer than gloves), water-resistant coat and boots and several layers of loose-fitting clothing."

This one was added today:

"With the weather service predicting 3-6 inches of snow in the Oxford area, off-campus students and residents are reminded to move their vehicles if they are parked on designated snow routes."

And yet guess who still has to walk to class?

Ouch! I saw the tempatures today and it's no fun out there! Boston was listed at 0 degree - 0!

It was freezing here yesterday in Orlando! It might not have been as cold as where you are, but folks here are not used to the cold weather!

Just don't freeze your ass off!!
