Windowblinds on Vista won't allow system to restart or shutdown

If I have any version of WB 5.x installed on my system running Vista rtm, my computer won't restart/shutdown/sleep, etc..
All it does is hang at the shutting down screen with the mouse in the rotating thinking mode. If I uninstall WB through SDC and then reboot the machine is fine.
Any thoughts or suggestions? I always reboot my machine after installing WB before I apply a skin or run the program for the 1st time.
