Can Someone Help Me Fix My Fonts?

After upgrading my gfx card i took another look at windowblinds since it had hw acceleration, didnt notice much difference tbo from msstyles but the effects are nicer.

The only annoying thing iv found is the strange way fonts are handled, i cant seem to set them all the same size, so can i fix it or can i turn off skinning of menus?

some other annoying things is the names in the start menu moving to the left when rolled over and directories that dont have the folder icon dont have an arrow next to them and end links with the folder icon do.

Im Using wb5.1 with Vista Plus v2 on WinXP with SP2

right click start > properties

uncheck 'classic start' and check 'start' - apply - see if that helps

that helps a little but seeing as it takes an unbelivable amount of time to show up id rather stick with the classic start menu

For the fonts, they are set per skin, in SkinStudio, which is used to put WB skins together, the fonts for each part that has settings can be set different from all the rest, if Fonts for classic widgets are all used then all system fonts can be changed. For say taskbar buttons, font can be diferent for each state, normal, mouse over, pushed etc. For fonts for classic widgets there is 6 different sections, so 6 different fonts and sizes could be used just for system fonts. As for the parts of skins that have their own font settings, I have seen WB skins with 20 preset fonts to be used for these parts.

Vista Plus V2 has a standard start menu ( no alpha/transparency ), even a low end card or on board graphics should have no problem showing it almost instantly. You should look at your system for any issues, spyware, virus etc.

I have a mid range card and only have slow drawing of start menu when it is per pixel/transparent and is using the blur effect, by slow I mean 2-3 seconds to draw completely.

its not the drawing of the menu itself but the hard drive churning away when opening it
Edit:seems it fixed itself it comes up instantly now, but i never liked the xp menu its too big and useless and gets in the way of things i want to open.

looks like ill have to tinker with skinstudio, i was hoping for a qick fix
