No, It's My Fault

Geez. It was right out of an old comedy bit. I was coming out of the bathroom as a server was taking drinks to a table. We didn't physically collide, but it was close. She dropped one of the drinks on the floor making a big mess.

I apologized and she apologized for getting in my way.

No, you're doing your job, my fault

No, I should have been more careful

No, it's not your fault

Manager shows up

Me: not her fault

Her: my fault

Me: no it wasn't (in my forceful voice)

manager to server: not your fault

manager to me: next round is on me

me: cool

It was pretty funny, but at least I got a free beer out of it.

Hmm, mysterious stains are usually my fault and they're usually found on my clothes. Don't ask...

Free beer always tastes better...

They are trained that way (customer is always right).  It is nice to see a manager who knows how to manage and not just follow the rules.

Cheers!
