So instead of demanding that our elected officials do their job and do what is best for our nation you propose to take that dicision out of the hands of our legislators because they are all corrupt. I say we leave the laws in place and procicute the law makers that mess up.

Again we are going to not take care of the people who elected him. There was no bribery involved. Yes it cost a lot of money but remember that in that area the climate is kind of rough and may need some extra support. I don't know one way or the other but I don't hear you complaing about Senator Byrd and his earmarks. You can't go anywhere in his state without seeing some public project with his name promenantly displayed. The man as more bridges named after him than Carter has peanuts.
Don't misunderstand me. I don't like wasteful spending and I don't play favorites as far as parties go. If they waste my money they are bad. What I object to is saying that the Republicans are the reason for all the wrongs in the world while giving a pass to Democrats who do the same thing.
